Understanding the rules
Welcome to the Erling Family Photo Challenge! To ensure a fair and fun competition for everyone, please take a moment to review the contest rules. Your participation means you agree to these guidelines, so let's get started and capture some amazing moments together!
Avoiding disqualification
To ensure your photos are eligible and avoid disqualification, please adhere to the following rules:
- Theme Alignment: Photos must be taken during the month that the theme is assigned. Any photos taken outside of the specified timeframe will not be considered.
- Content Restrictions: No nudity or offensive imagery is allowed. Submissions must be appropriate for all family members.
- Discretionary Removal: The head of the family reserves the right to disqualify and delete any images deemed inappropriate at their discretion.
Fair voting process
We are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent voting process for all participants:
- In-Person Voting: Voting takes place in person during the monthly game night, as established when the theme is announced. This allows for direct engagement and discussion about the submitted photos.
- Impartial Judge: In addition to the popular vote, an impartial judge is assigned to provide a secondary winning selection, ensuring a balanced and objective evaluation of the submissions. Winners will be chosen at his or her discretion.
Rights and usage
We respect the creative rights of our participants and ensure the following:
- Participant Ownership: Participants retain all rights to their submitted photos. You own your work!
- Deletion Requests: Participants can request deletion of their photos from the Erling Family website at any time through Tim Erling. We will promptly honor these requests.
